Why Give to Habitat for Humanity of New Mexico?

Habitat for Humanity of New Mexico is a state support organization, which means that we provide services to the 17 Habitat for Humanity affiliates located in our state.  We do not build homes.   Instead, our mission is to build each affiliate’s capacity and to leverage resources for the sole purpose of increasing the amount of affordable housing available throughout New Mexico.

We accomplish our mission by providing funding, technical assistance, and a forum for collaboration to all of our affiliates.  In turn, those affiliates create affordable housing for some of the most underserved low-income populations, those with incomes at 50% of the Area Median Income and below.  By giving to Habitat for Humanity of New Mexico, you are ensuring that we are able to continue to provide services for local Habitat affiliates.
